WATERLASE LASER DENTISTRY
The Biolase
We are pleased to offer the highly effective BIOLASE Waterlase technology in our office. Waterlase is a gentler and more precise alternative to traditional dental tools for treating periodontal disease and tooth decay and allows for a quicker and more comfortable recovery. Using laser energy and water spray, Waterlase can perform many procedures without a shot or a drill.

Composite
Silver amalgam fillings have been widely used for decades, but with advanced dental materials, we can now provide a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing cavity treatment. Composite fillings are tooth-colored fillings composed of plastic resin and other materials that better protect your child’s oral health and minimize temperature sensitivity. Unlike silver amalgam, composite fillings bond directly to the tooth, requiring less healthy tooth structure removal.

An intraoral camera is a small, handheld instrument used to take clear and precise images of your child’s teeth and gums. These enlarged images show us details that may have been missed during the standard visual exam and help us to make accurate diagnoses. By sharing these images with you and your child, we can better explain the condition of your child’s oral health and any necessary procedures.

Isolite
Our Isodry Isolation Mouthpieces are game changers! When one of these mouthpieces is used, your child’s cheek and tongue are automatically retracted and protected, resulting in an immediate decrease in the risk of injury. The mouthpiece covers the entrance to the throat, minimizing the chance of debris aspiration. These mouthpieces bring more comfort to your child and allows us to monitor their airway.
DIGITAL X-RAYS
DETAILED IMAGES. LESS RADIATION EXPOSURE.
Digital x-rays use a sensor to capture detailed images of your child’s teeth. In a matter of minutes, those electronic images can be viewed on a monitor so that you and your child can see exactly what we see. This software also lets us enlarge images, which helps Dr. Gehring see detailed changes in your child’s dental health. Digital x-rays significantly reduce your child’s exposure to radiation and eliminate the need to dispose of potentially hazardous materials used with traditional x-rays film.
